With the holidays just a short time away, there’s no better time stir up some good cheer for one of our favorite causes – Child & Family Services of Michigan’s “Operation Good Cheer.”
If you’ve seen prior Newsroom posts, you’ll know that Operation Good Cheer is an annual all-volunteer Christmas gift-giving program for abused and neglected children who are currently living in placement facilities in Michigan. Each summer, the organization sends us profiles of children with personal information and the small wish list of items each child would like to receive.
After reading the wish lists, a few months from now we’ll purchase, wrap, and label toys, sporting goods, and other gifts that the kids will receive in time for Christmas.
2016 marks our eighth year supporting CFSM, and we’ve given gifts to more than 550 children in that time. On September 16th, Zausmer attorneys and staff went “casual for a cause” to donate to our annual campaign. This year, we are sponsoring 111 kids – a new high for us – and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
We invite you to read about Operation Good Cheer program and learn about how you can make life a little brighter for a child this holiday season
