For the third consecutive year, Zausmer attorneys volunteered with Free Bikes 4 Kidz Detroit (FB4K) to provide bikes to kids who need them the most.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz (FB4K), a non-profit organization in Detroit, has been instrumental in providing over 10,000 bikes to children in need since its inception in 2018. Part of a national effort that has distributed 140,000 bikes over the past thirteen years, FB4K Detroit supports the physical and mental well-being of children by offering them a chance to own a bicycle.
On November 4, 2023, in collaboration with Piston Group, a Zausmer client and one of FB4K’s sponsors, Zausmer attorneys cleaned and repaired bicycles to get them ready for holiday gifting. Our team included Thomas Bearse, Theresa Bodwin, Jalese DeBiasi, Danielle DePriest, Grant Kelter, Eric Kociba, John Lewsley, Nancy Lu, Talitha Mahome, Daniel McCarthy, David Polidori, Alana Silver, Samantha Singer, and Heather Thatcher.
By engaging in the refurbishment and redistribution of bicycles, FB4K lets children experience the joys of cycling and contributes to environmental sustainability. This initiative represents a collective effort to enact positive change in the community, one bicycle at a time.
