Zausmer shareholder Danielle DePriest received the Mark-Lis Family Young Leadership Award for her significant contributions to the Jewish community through NEXTGen Detroit.
On May 21, 2024, the Jewish Federation of Detroit held its 2024 Awards Night to honor individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the Jewish community. Zausmer shareholder Danielle DePriest was recognized for her leadership within the Jewish community with the Mark-Lis Family Young Leadership Award. Established in 1993 by Florine Mark and her family, the award honors young leaders who have shown exceptional dedication to the Jewish Federation’s NEXTGen Detroit department.
Since her introduction to the Federation in 2012, Danielle has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. She took on various leadership roles, served as a liaison to Jewish Family Service (JFS), where she now sits on the executive committee. Her roles have included serving on the NEXTGen Detroit Board, co-chairing leadership-development programs\, and serving as NEXTGen Detroit Campaign Chair for four years. In 2022, she became NEXTGen Detroit’s President, enhancing the organization’s impact on young adult engagement.
The Federation’s 2024 Awards Night celebrated leaders like Danielle, who have made significant contributions to the Jewish community. The event emphasized the importance of volunteer leadership in strengthening Jewish life in Detroit and around the world.
