Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Alex Carpenter’s path to law was driven by a love for reading and a strong sense of justice, leading him from political science at Grand Valley State University to a full scholarship at the University of Toledo College of Law. His legal journey began in workers’ compensation litigation at a small firm, followed by a pivotal role at staff counsel for AAA. There, he honed his expertise in first and third-party no-fault and provider cases, advocating for AAA and its insureds. Alex joined Zausmer and works on MAIPF cases.
Alex’s approach to law is methodical and client-focused, emphasizing the development of clear litigation plans and effective communication. He is adept at handling cases, thanks to his organizational skills and attention to detail. His experience spans a wide variety of claims under the no-fault act, including order of priority cases, and conducting depositions of claimants and doctors. Alex’s ability to maintain a professional yet cordial relationship with clients as well as listening and adapting to their needs sets him apart. His unique perspective allows him to anticipate issues and tailor his strategy to meet client needs effectively.
Beyond his professional life, Alex enjoys traveling with his wife, walking their Corgi, reading, and attending concerts. He also has a passion for cooking, baking bread, and barbecuing.
