Bailey Couger is a results-driven appellate attorney who combines sharp analysis with a client-first approach to resolve complex legal issues.

As a member of Zausmer’s appellate team, Bailey focuses on civil appeals, offering clients thorough and thoughtful representation. Her experience across diverse areas of law, including environmental law, education law, and civil litigation, prepared her to handle a wide range of complex cases. She is skilled at breaking down intricate issues and crafting compelling arguments that align with her clients’ objectives.

Bailey is committed to building strong client relationships by listening closely and offering candid, practical advice. She takes pride in making the litigation process clear and manageable, ensuring her clients feel supported at every step. Her passion for language, analytical skills, and attention to detail ensure that she is effective in in crafting clear, persuasive arguments and guiding clients through complex legal matters.

Before joining Zausmer, Bailey worked at a large Detroit law firm where she represented clients such as public school districts, municipalities, and businesses through litigation and dispute resolution processes. Bailey also previously worked at a boutique appellate litigation firm, where she supported clients in pursuing civil and criminal appeals.

Outside of work, Bailey enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband. In the summers she enjoys boating or playing tennis, while colder months are spent with a good book.
