Christopher Best defends insurers against fraudulent and disputed claims, using in-depth case analysis and strategic litigation to achieve their legal goals.

Chris is an insurance defense attorney with experience in fraud investigations, coverage disputes, and complex litigation. He focuses on first- and third-party no-fault claims, with a strong background in Special Investigative Unit (SIU) matters. He carefully examines claims for inconsistencies, conducts thorough depositions, and builds strategic defenses to help insurers secure favorable outcomes.

Chris has successfully litigated numerous cases, obtaining dismissals, summary dispositions, and no-cause verdicts in Michigan courts. His work frequently involves identifying fraudulent claims, challenging improper billing practices, and defending insurers against exaggerated or unwarranted claims. He has earned a strong reputation among insurance adjusters for his methodical approach and ability to communicate legal strategies clearly and effectively.

Before concentrating on insurance defense, Chris handled cases in tax compliance, tax litigation, subrogation, and debt collection, strengthening his analytical skills and deepening his understanding of financial and regulatory complexities. His ability to analyze financial records and legal documents is especially valuable in fraud-related cases.

Chris earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was recognized for his academic performance with multiple CALI awards. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, magna cum laude, from Central Michigan University.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is also an avid hockey player, a sport he has played since childhood and continues to enjoy with friends.
