As a litigator on the firm’s Insurance Defense team, Cristy DeVos represents insurers and insureds in first-party no-fault and third-party automobile negligence claims, as well as general negligence and premises liability actions.

Cristy is involved in all phases of litigation, from initial investigation to trial. She delves deep into the law and facts of each matter during discovery, working with doctors, engineers, and other experts to properly frame the plaintiff’s claim. She’s equally as comfortable in the courtroom, where she aggressively advocates for her clients to reduce or eliminate their exposure and liability.

Cristy’s path to the practice of law started in college with an internship with the Michigan State Police, which helped her to develop her investigative skills. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with high honors, from Michigan State University, she then attended Michigan State University College of Law on a merit scholarship, where she served as Managing Editor of the law review before graduating magna cum laude. Cristy is licensed to practice in Michigan and Illinois.

Outside the office, Cristy is a die-hard Michigan State fan, and when time allows she takes to the skies as a licensed pilot.
