Irene is an insurance defense attorney who handles no-fault claims, priority disputes, and personal injury protection (PIP) matters. With experience in business ownership, human resources, and real estate, she takes a practical approach to litigation, analyzing claims, insurance policies, and medical records to develop strong legal strategies. She identifies opportunities for early resolution through dispositive motions and negotiations to help clients minimize risk and litigation costs.

Irene’s background in both plaintiff and defense work gives her a comprehensive understanding of legal strategy. She began her career handling subrogation claims and plaintiff-side litigation before transitioning to defense. This experience allows her to anticipate opposing arguments and position cases for favorable outcomes.

Irene values clear communication and works closely with claims adjusters to provide straightforward legal guidance. Her ability to explain legal principles and understand client priorities helps ensure well-informed decisions at every stage of litigation.

Irene earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Western Michigan University – Cooley Law School, where she was an associate editor of the law review. She holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Michigan.

Outside of work, Irene enjoys boating and time outdoors with her family at her northern Michigan cottage.
