Zausmer’s team delivered 306 gifts to 102 foster children through Operation Good Cheer.
At Zausmer, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. For the 16th consecutive year, our team came together to support Operation Good Cheer, a program dedicated to bringing holiday joy to children in foster care, residential treatment, and group homes across Michigan. Led by the tremendous efforts of legal assistant, Kathy Collings and the generosity of our staff, we fulfilled holiday wishes for 102 children in 2024.
The process began in early November, as our team selected gifts from the children’s wish lists. From toys and bikes to clothing, tools, and musical instruments, each gift was chosen with care to ensure these children experienced the joy of the holiday season. Once the shopping was complete, Zausmer employees gathered to wrap and bag the gifts for distribution.
On December 6, we loaded 278 large gift boxes and eight bikes onto a truck bound for families in need. Each package represented a message of hope and care for some of Michigan’s most vulnerable youth.
Since its inception in 1971, Operation Good Cheer has grown exponentially, touching the lives of more than 50,000 children statewide–many of whom have experienced abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Often, these gifts will be the only holiday presents the children receive.
Zausmer’s continued involvement reflects our commitment to making a difference beyond the legal profession, a commitment made possible by the dedication of employees who devote their time, energy, and resources to fulfill children’s holiday wishes. As we celebrate another successful year of giving, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Operation Good Cheer, knowing that our contributions have the power to brighten lives and strengthen communities.
