On Friday, August 2, 2024, Metro-Detroit’s legal community will gather at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI, for the fifth installment of Lawlapalooza. This annual event offers an evening filled with musical performances by Metro-Detroit litigators, providing both entertainment and a platform for networking among friends and colleagues.
Embodying its tagline, “Detroit Lawyers Rocking for a Cause,” this year’s Lawlapalooza will dedicate proceeds to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. The foundation is committed to advancing research and treatments for pulmonary fibrosis (PF), a progressive disease that significantly impairs breathing by causing scarring of the lung tissue. Currently, there is no known cure for this debilitating condition.
The lineup for the evening includes performances from The 3148s, The Common Scolds, Cameron Getto, and Don Cummings—all legal professionals from Michigan. Hosted by Fox 2’s Derek Kevra, the event is expected to draw a diverse crowd, including attorneys, judges, and law clerks.
