Families in Flint, Michigan have an immediate, critical need for clean water.
Studies show that the percentage of children with lead poisoning has doubled or tripled in some Flint neighborhoods, posing serious health threats for years to come. Kids who are six years old and younger are the most vulnerable.
At the forefront of the issue is pediatrician Mona Hanna-Attisha, M.D. of Hurley Medical Center and Michigan State University, and a founding donor of the Flint Child & Development Fund. FCDF raises awareness and collects money to ensure that the children of Flint are afforded the resources and assistance to overcome the devastating effects of lead exposure.
The Zausmer family is proud to support Dr. Hanna-Attisha and the FCDF’s ongoing mission, raising money from our Casual for a Cause program to donate to this worthy organization.
